After 17 years of debate in the city, 3 years of demolition and renovation and the extensive test phase, the new Theater aan de Parade was officially opened on March 1, 2024. The new Theater aan de Parade gives culture even more of a stage in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The curtain opens for theater, dance, music, cabaret, musical, literature, lectures and film. But also business events, symposiums, anniversaries and other festivities.

Architectural firm NOAHH from Amsterdam designed the new Theater aan de Parade. NOAHH’s design contributes to the further development of ‘s-Hertogenbosch into a cultural city of the South. The building has 2 multifunctional rooms. Each with its own atmosphere and its own programming. All areas are connected by spacious foyers. With lots of daylight and a view of the Parade. The theater is an extension of the Parade.
The building fits well within the surroundings of the Parade. Many smart and sustainable solutions have been incorporated into the building. Such as reuse of parts of the construction and materials. The rooms can be used multifunctionally. There are additional rooms that can be used flexibly in programming. The basement is connected to the foyer, making this floor a real part of the building.
